SOTERIA 2nd General Meeting, 5-7 October 2010

Arrival by flight:

The nearest international airport is Budapest Ferihegy Airport. The recommended transport between Budapest Airport and Debrecen is by train or airport transfer service.

The most comfortable way to get to Debrecen from the Airport is the Airport transfer service. The company needs the name of passenger, the flight number and the time of arrival. Their car waits the passenger at the Budapest Ferihegy airport and takes him/her to the hotel entrance in Debrecen. The travel can be ordered with return and they also take you to the departure. The fee should be paid in advance, the round trip between Budapest Airport and Debrecen costs about 54 euro, it is affordable for 2x220km.
The cheaper way of transport is travelling by train. There is a train connection between Ferihegy Terminal 1 and the Western Railway Station in Budapest and Debrecen Station. Arriving passangers who would like to get to Debrecen right away need not to travel to the Western Railway Station or to the city center, because the trains going between Budapest and Debrecen have a stop at the Ferihegy Terminal 1. Travellers whose arrival or departure is at 2A or 2B terminals can travel by bus 200E between the Terminal 1 and Terminal 2A-2B. Arriving travellers can buy their tickets at Tourinform at Terminal 1 from 09.00 to 22.00 or at platform B at the railway station from the ticket vending mashine. The two platforms of the railwaystation are connected to the Airport Terminal with a pedestrian footbridge equipped with lifts above the clearway. A short pedestrian path of just 200 meters takes the passengers from the terminal to the railway station. Other reliable and reasonable transfer option for travelling between the Airport and any point of Budapest is Airport Shuttle.
See more information at Malev Hungarian Airlines or at Budapest Airport .
