Hungarian historical solar drawings
The first of them was observed at ógyalla Observatory founded by Miklós Konkoly-Thege (1842-1916). We have solar observations taken here between 1872 and 1891. The orientation of the observations is Terrestrial north is ~ at the top and the EW side is reversed exept for 1872 when usually Terrestrial north is ~ at the bottom and the EW side is correct (North=E, South=D, East=K, West= N or Ny).
The other set of solar drawings was observed at the Haynald Observatory in Kalocsa between 1880 to 1919.
The drawings are also available in an interactive online presentation combined with the data of Greenwich Photoheliographic Results (GPR).

The BW digitization of the Kalocsa material was supported by the Hungarian Science Foundation and the millenial Cultural Heritage Program in 2000. The whole Kalocsa material was rescanned with a colour scanner within the project "TÁMOP 4.2.2.C-11/1/KONV/2012-0015" in 2014.
